Natalie Kim-Failing was nominated by Amber Casterline, a parent of a student.

"Ms. Kim was my son's second grade teacher," Casterline said. "I think she deserves this because she is so patient and kind.  My son joined her class in the middle of the school year, about one month before we went into lockdown. She did an amazing job. She kept the kids engaged and really help them feel like they were still at school. Ms. Kim is very fun and makes sure that all of her students are heard and cared for. Today, my son is in fourth grade and no longer goes to that school, but he always remembers Ms. Kim."
