Deborah Crowe was nominated by Tracey Mayer, the parent of a student.

"Deborah is an awesome individual," said Mayer. "My son had three courses for summer school. He has trouble learning, and Deborah helped him through all of it. He's going to be a senior this fall. I am so grateful for all the hard work that Deborah has done with him. It's very much appreciated!"

I've worked with lots of amazing educators over the years. She's the most inviting and helpful by far. I had just transferred to the school and she was super inviting, helped me every day, and showed so much passion with students. She is truly a treasure who's invested in every students success.

I have team taught with and worked with Deb Crowe for many years. She is truly deserving of this recognition and is a credit to her profession. She goes above and beyond to support her students and her team teachers. She does an excellent job reaching students who seem unmotivated and getting them to learn and produce results. Go Deb!

My mom (Deborah) spent so much time with me and my siblings as kids making sure we knew what it meant not only to be a good student, but also to be a good person. She and my dad provided a life for us that left us wanting for nothing. But when she started working for Racine Unified, she started teaching students who were really far behind in school, faced problems beyond our understanding at home, and struggled with unimaginable issues. My mother was not only a mother for us, but she was both a teacher and a mother-figure to her students. She showed them kindness and respect, while also showing that she believed in her students and held them to a high standard that she helped them meet. I’m constantly in awe of Deborah and the incredibly hard work that she puts in for her students. She’s changed countless lives throughout her own.
