Mrs. Barnes is a great teacher with a lot of patience!!! She is awesome at building relationships with students and staff!!! She has incentives in the classroom for students and uses restorative discipline to help with any behavior issues that interfere with the students’ learning. She even has time to have a leadership role on the EHS PTA! Well deserved Mrs. Barnes!!!

Cheryl is truly a life changer. I've known her for over 15 years. She spent much of her adult life fostering kids who other foster parents wouldn't take or couldn't handle. She and her husband Leonard brought kids to CrossView Camp where I was a director. She's worked for years in the school system helping kids learn and overcome. Countless kids' lives have been changed for the better because of the love, generosity, talent, and hard work of Mrs. Cheryl Barnes. She's the BEST, and I can't think of another human more deserving of this award!
