Ronda Kaldenberg was nominated by Jan Gensch, a member of her community.
"Ronda is so special because as a school nurse, she cares for the students, as well as the staff," said Gensch. "I have seen her run down the hall to get to a substitute teacher who was in need of immediate aid."

Nurse Ronda has truly made a huge impact on my son’s first year of school. He doesn’t necessarily spend a ton of time with her which is very telling of just how impactful she really is. She is a safe space for him where he can shed some tears, be told how brave he is, and get all fixed up before heading back to his regular activities. I just love how much he talks about her considering she isn’t in his normal rotations! I’m so thankful for her and feel so confident in the decisions she makes when it comes to his health and wellness at school. She is truly a special woman who deserves to be recognized. Xoxo
Nurse Ronda is so good at her job! She loves the kids. I see in her action every day and she is patient, caring, careful, and she truly cares deeply about the kids and staff she is working with and wants to make sure she is doing everything she can to help them. Ronda is attentive to detail and organized. One of my favorite things about Nurse Ronda is how she takes the time to really talk to the students and listen to them and really try to find out what is going on with them and what may be contributing to the way they feel. She gets down on their level to show them she cares. Ronda is so very deserving to be recognized for her commitment to the students and her job!
Such a selfless, generous, and benevolent person! Seriously one of the sweetest and most caring people in the world! If anyone deserves this award it is Ronda!
Our family loves Nurse Ronda. I can easily drop my kids off at school knowing that if they start to not feel well, or just need a little extra TLC, Nurse Ronda will take the very best care of them. She is always smiling, and ready to care for anyone who is in need. What a blessing for our school!

Nurse Ronda is such a light in the lives of the students she works with & the staff she works alongside. Her care for her students transcends tummy aches & playground injuries: she is a safe place for kids to share whatever is on their mind & get support for whatever they may need. She is the most genuine listener & is authentic & intentional in her interactions with students & staff. There is truly no one else like Nurse Ronda!
Ronda is dedicated to her kids and staff—she cares for others more than herself. She thinks of every kid like they are her own. She loves and cares for each one of them as individuals and as part of her Bomber Family. Being there for her kids means so much to her as she does anything she can to make school a great/safe place to be for all. Ronda is so proud of all her kids. I worked many years with Ronda at Mercy Medical Center. She is an awesome nurse, instructor , and now school nurse. Ronda is the nicest person I have ever known. Her compassion, skill, huge smile and non judge mental character make her an exceptional nurse, friend, community member.
My mom or better known as "Nurse Ronda" has the biggest heart and loves her job because of the people she gets to take care of everyday. She goes above and beyond to care for the kids at Ballard West and treats them like they are her kids. She has impacted so many people's lives and is the best!!!

What would we ever do without Nurse Ronda???? Ballard West is very blessed to have someone who cares so much to help keep us all safe and healthy...... it doesn't matter if you are 3 years old or 56 years old..... Nurse Ronda is going to give you excellent care, love, and sooo much support, whether- it is for your students, yourself, or your family.... or your pet!!! She wants to keep us all healthy and happy ......and she is just full of fun and smiles!! Covid times have been a bit hectic .... but Nurse Ronda always kept that positive attitude and did amazing at keeping us a going each and every day!! Thank you Ronda!!! You are a joyful gem!!!
Ronda goes above and beyond to care for the students and staff in our preschool- 2nd elementary building every year. The whole nursing staff were great in the challenges of last year with 100% in building learning with over 400 students. Thanks Ronda and your whole team!
