Betsy Munsch was nominated by her principal, Clark Olstad.
Ms. Munsch is a talented and feisty paraprofessional. She always has that twinkle in her eye and smirk on her face that lets her students and colleagues know she is ready to go full speed for another day at school!
“Ms. Munsch is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever had the privilege of working with. She comes to work every day with a high level of energy and professionalism,” Olstad said.
One of Ms. Munsch's greatest strengths is her ability to work with challenging students. This can be a very exhausting and difficult job, but Ms. Munsch makes it look easy.
"Whenever I'm in a tough situation and need someone to help out by doing work above and beyond their normal duties, I will always ask Betsy first," said Olstad. "Betsy always responds by telling me, 'I got it, I will take care of it, you do not need to worry about a thing!'"
Olstad recalled a quote from Lou Holtz that reminds him of Ms. Munsch. “Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.”
"Betsy is one of the most talented individuals I have ever known. What sets her apart from others is her daily motivation and her incredible attitude that each day is a new day, and that she can and will make a positive difference in a student or adult’s life," said Olstad. "She is a LifeChanger in many ways within our school and the entire community. She's simply an amazing lady, and we are extremely fortunate that she works at our school!"
