Sister Regina was nominated by her colleague, Kathy Moran.

Sister Regina has been a teacher, curriculum coordinator and art teacher at Mount Saint Mary Academy for over 40 years. Since 1976, she has had an extraordinary impact on the lives of thousands of students, teachers, parents, and fellow Sisters of Mercy in the greater Manchester Community.

"Years ago, our present mission statement and logo were created under her guidance and continue to impact our culture and climate on a daily basis," Moran said. "Our mission includes being committed to academic excellence and the gospel values of peace and justice. Our school instills leadership skills in its students and promotes values of compassion and reverence for the community and environment."

Sister Regina continues to be a mentor for students and staff alike, following in the footsteps of Catherine McCauley.

"She is committed to educating children, and her compassionate spirit, joyful sense of humor, and high expectations for student academic achievement are the foundation of our school," Moran said.

Regina's decision to relocate to New Hampshire from Ireland has been a gift to us here in NH. Her creativity and generosity have meant a lot to students, staff and members of her Mercy community as they have been expressed in many ways: art, beauty, support, recognizing the talents of students and staff and encouraging them. This is a well-deserved acknowledgment and a recognition from those who work most closely with her.

Sister Regina follows in the footsteps of Catherine McCauley the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy and lives the mission sttement she herself developed. She is committed to academic excellence, promoting the gospel values of peace and just, and instilling leadership skills in our students and promoting the values of compassion and reverence and services for all members of our community. What was started by Catherine McCauley, continue to be valid societal concerns today.

Sr. Regina is by far the most qualified nominee. She is a caring and compassionate Teacher! Her love for her students is exemplary! She is also by far an animal lover who instills in her students love for all human kind!
