Stacey Vaughn was nominated by her colleague, Dr. Tameka Hyland.

"I can't say enough about this extraordinary human being," said Dr. Hyland. "Not only is she an exceptional assistant principal, but she also owns her own farm. She currently serves as the Health and Human Services assistant principal, where she brings real-world experiences to students as they learn about health care and growing their own food. During the pandemic, Mrs. Vaughn went out of her way to check on students. She also made videos about social-emotional learning and the importance of teen suicide prevention. She believes in educating the whole child, and she helps implement the career academies so that students can go on externships and internships to gain industry knowledge. Even during the pandemic, she continued to lead and make sure that students had access to educational opportunities."
