Scott Mceowen was nominated by Gigi Whalen, the parent of a student.

Mr. Mceowen is a terrific teacher who really cares about his students. Through his humor and good classroom management, he makes math fun and understandable, and even offers study session times before each test. Mr. Mceowen is a positive, kind, helpful teacher who also supports his colleagues.

"My son loves going to math because Mr. Mac has created a safe, fun, warm, and rigorous learning environment," Whalen said. "He is well-loved by his students, who all say he's their favorite teacher, and he is willing to go above and beyond for his them. We are lucky to have our son learning with him this year!"
