Brandon Thompson was nominated by his friend, Chad Hendricks.

Mr. Thompson is the type of person who would go the distance to help a friend, student, or co-worker out. He'd literally give you the shirt off his back, then apologize if it didn't fit correctly. He's a school administrator who handles various tasks that are not always the highlights of a school atmosphere, such as behavior issues, COVID-related situations, and disgruntled parents and teachers. Mr. Thompson takes on everything with a positive attitude and has a proven ability to make a positive difference in the life of a child. He is always involved with making his community a better place, whether he's helping students make good choices at school, or coaching little league sports in the neighborhood. Mr. Thompson is always striving to be a positive male role model for kids to admire.

As his wife, but also fellow educator in the same district, I am so proud of all the hard work my husband devotes to his role. He goes in early every day to make sure things are 'ready to go', takes time out of his personal life to address issues that may arise after hours, and most importantly, builds strong relationships with students and families and strives to improve the daily operations of his school and community. I frequently receive positive feedback from teachers at his school that attest to his daily efforts and bonds he builds with those around him. He has certainly made a difference in the lives of hundreds of children over his past 17 years as an educator in the public school system, but also as a coach for a local college. I am honored to be his wife and fellow educator!
