Samantha Sosa was nominated by her colleague, Sherry Sweet.
A principal's secretary works in the school office, typically right out front so that he or she is the first and last person you see when entering or leaving a school. In some schools, the secretary must buzz you into the building after official school hours have started or ended. This is just one of the many duties Ms. Sosa has. She does it all and consistently works for the principal and the staff. She is responsible for entering the lunch information into the billing system as well as keeping track of attendance, verifying bus notes and doctor's notes, keeping schedules for their supervisors, and keeping supply orders up to date. Ms. Sosa does it all with a beautiful smile on her face
The secretary may also have to serve other duties as needed or required in a particular position. She is the go-to person in the school if a teacher is low on supplies, if a meeting needs to be scheduled, or if paperwork needs to be filed or located. The school secretary is expected to keep confidentiality in all matters as they will have access to student files, meeting notes, and employee records.
"Ms. Sosa makes a positive impact on everyone in her school," Sweet said. "She has the ability to create a well-organized school that runs smoothly. She does much of this with little official recognition."
I absolutely adore Ms. Sosa, she always has a smile on her face and a very pleasant demeanor. She works hard, always has a smile and an outstanding personality. I can't think of anyone who deserves this award more and I am so proud that she has been nominated.
I absolutely love Ms. Sosa, she has proven to be a team player inside and outside the school hours. My job on campus is to run several reports, print the entire schools report cards , and organize the daily attendance. Ms. Sosa helps in every aspect, and is cross trained to run more than one report in my absence. My hat goes off to her many different job titles and duties!
Your hard work, dedication, contagious smile and willingness to help out where needed are only a few reasons why you are so deserving of this award. Thank you for making me feel so welcomed and for all that you do for this campus.
Congratulations Ms. Sosa, you are deserving of this award. She is a great asset to our school. She always maintain a positive attitude when ask to help with a specific task. Ms. Sosa keep us informed of any new changes as it relates to our employee status, time cards ,etc. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Twice a year Ms. Sosa helps me with my campus' Book Fair. There is a ton of paperwork to complete and Ms. Sosa always tackles it with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She never complains as she helps me to count literally hundreds of coins for our daily deposits. These are coins that have been handled by elementary school students so that makes the task extra slimy/sticky/ gooey. It makes the work go by so much quicker and smoother to do it with someone that has a great attitude about life.
Ms. Sosa is always helping me with my library budget and orders. She also never complains when I ask her to help me count hundreds of coins during our school's book fair. She always does it with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. It is so helpful to have someone so positive and happy at our campus.
Samantha is hardworking and extremely helpful. She goes above and beyond her job duties to meet the needs of the staff on a daily basis. This nomination is well deserved!

Ms. Sosa is THE backbone of our school. There are a plethora of duties and tasks that must be accomplished in order for a school to work smoothly. Ms. Sosa has diligently taken on the responsibilities that many of us may not recognize or acknowledge, whether it is running from school to school to find that "just right" learning tool for a 1st year teacher, or volunteering time to help decorate the lobby and gymnasium for an upcoming event. Not only does she provide endless hours to service here on campus, she also finds the opportunities to assist in District-sponsored events. A wife and mother to a beautiful little girl, Ms. Sosa prides herself on making sure her family is provided the best she has to offer.

I have the pleasure of working with Ms. Sosa and have been able to see firsthand how much of an asset she is to our campus. I am the coach of the soccer team at our school, and she helps me with the collection of money, contacting parents, and making/distributing copies for my soccer students. She does this on top of the mounds of work she attends to throughout the day. I, along my colleagues, am very grateful to have such a hard working, dedicated person to rely on throughout the day. As teachers, we make our impact in the classrooms, but Ms. Sosa's impact resonates throughout the entire campus.

It has been a pleasure to know Samantha Sosa for the last three years. She has always been helpful to me.
