LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Victoria Smejkal was nominated by the Indiana School Counselor Association.

Ms. Smejkal was named the Indiana School Counselor of the Year. Frequently, students come to school with economic, social, and emotional issues that impact not only their academics, but their social interactions. School counselors have taken on a much more active role in dealing with these issues. Ms. Smejkal has been a resource for students and teachers alike in both awareness of these issues and solutions to some of the problems. Her door is always open to those who need to talk. Her excellent rapport with the staff and students makes her a valuable member of her school staff.
