To describe Ester Velazquez as a highly-achieving secretary falls short of all she has done, is doing, and is willing to do in the future. She's not only highly-achieving, but she over-achieves as an individual, professional, and a leader. Every student and parent knows her by first and last name. She is the campus' go-to person for any task given to her and, she takes initiative in everything, so nothing falls short or behind schedule.

Ms. Velasquez does each task willingly, speedily, cheerfully, and meticulously. Because of her professional and nurturing dedication to her position, the campus effortlessly proceeds from one activity, transition, announcement, procedure, fundraiser, event, organization, or meeting, to another. The flow of each of these components within the campus is so smooth, it's difficult to notice how much work was invested.

"Ester makes a secretary position seem effortless with her care, experience, and professionalism," the nominator said. "She not only contributes to our campus familiy, but is deeply rooted within the hearts of the school classrooms."

Ester is the Best Secretary in the world, always willing to help out and on top of things. She makes our job much easier by always keeping us posted on up coming events. She is one awesome beautiful, caring, supportive, and loving person. We can always count on Ester for any task and she doesn't hesitate not one bit.

I have been very blessed to have Ester as my secretary during my first year of teaching. I have heard horror stories from friends who are also first year teaching about how their secretaries couldn't be bothered to help them with anything. There have been times when I've been totally lost or without something I needed and Ester never hesitated to help me, despite herself always being busy with her own work. While other first year teachers were thrown into the fray without a lifeline, I have been tremendously lucky to have Ester reach out her hand whenever I've felt like drowning. Thank you Ester for all that you do, have done, and will continue to do for me and the rest of our school. You are wonderful and I hope you know how appreciative I am of you.

Ester, Is always there for the staff and students. She goes above her duties as a secretary. She is a team player, whom is always willing to lend a helping hand when her assistance is needed. She is the campus secretary, but to say that's her only role would be false. She is a jack of all trades and is there for all of us as a campus. She manages not only her role at the campus, but is there when her assistance is needed anywhere else. Ester is a great asset to our campus and the D.I.S.D school district.

Ms. Velasquez is always willing to help you out in any aspect. She is very efficient in whatever needs to get done. Never says no to helping you find a solution to an issue you may be facing. She is the person to go to at our campus very positive attitude and cheerful person.

Ester is priceless to me. She has us informed of all things on a need to know but very professional. She is kindhearted and willing to help us on the drop of a hat. She keeps the school running whether the principal is in school or not. She has an open door policy at our campus. We go to her for everything that is needed or not. She is a best friend, sister, and motherly like. Who doesn't like Easter or respect her. I for one will miss going to her office for all my needs. Stay cool and continue to love purple.

Since my first day at this campus, Ms. Ester has been nothing but kind to me and always willing to answer and assist in any questions I had. She quickly turns into a friend. Thank you for everything Ester and for your endless help!

Ester is a hard working lady, but first she is a dedicated mother and grandmother her love for her family is her priority. When she is at work she is committee to every individual at her school she will go beyond her call of duty to have a successful campus.

She is an amazing person and is always willing to help in anyway possible to help our students succeed. With out her our school would not function the way it should. She is willing to do what needs to be done or works extra hard to provide what we need in the classroom. I am glad to have her here in our school and have the privilege to call her my friend. Ester goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is hard working and the nicest person. Every morning she greets all staff with a smile and she is always on the go. I commend her for her work ethic and her great personality! It is an honor to work with people like her.
