Mary Kallner was nominated by her colleague, Stephanie Winzer.
Ms. Kellner is a rockstar at her job and is the most knowledgeable person on campus about the school, the students, the staff, and their traditions! She has been loyal to Galena Park High School and its students for decades, and continues to give all her heart and energy every single day. She provides structure with strong morals and standards while still having a lot of fun and getting to know the students. Ms. Kellner goes beyond her duties to help, keeping things operating efficiently and well organized.
Ms. Kellner demands effort, but also gives the confidence and support needed to encourage students to work hard. She works long hours as a PE teacher and a varsity volleyball coach, but you will always find her as passionate and just as willing to do more.

I coached with Ms Kellner and was her Assistant Principal for 9 years. She is an excellent coach and an amazing teacher. She is one of the few whose Physical Education students dressed out and played all kinds of sports in class. She has touched so many student’s lives.
Very deserving of the nomination and hopefully the winner. Professional in all aspects of the teaching profession. Always in her mind, more importantly practices, as it should be she puts students first. A true Galena Park Yellow Jacket!
She's an awesome role model, awesome coach and a great person all around.
Ms. Kellner is most definitely dedicated to the students and faculty of Galena Park High School. I have had the pleasure of working with her for over 12 years. The students respect and love her. She has a great personality. Never thinks twice to help anyone. GPHS can always depend on Ms. Kellner. She is truly a great example and students look up to her. Congratulations!:)
Coach Kellner is an AMAZING colleague. I have known her for almost 10 years and she has always been such a wonderful person. The students respect her and enjoy what they learn from her. I am lucky to have a class very close by to see her in action every day! I have never seen her without that bright smile on her face! She has represented the atheletics department at our faculty meetings and always has positive things to say about her coworkers and her students.
She's a fabulous person! Love working with her. She has a heart for kids and puts everything she has into her job.
Coach Kellner has been a supportive role model since the first day I started working at Galena Park High School. Any questions I have she makes sure to follow through with me to make sure I understand what to do.
I see her dedication for her volleyball team day in and day out. She always fights to get her athletes everything they need. She has high expectations for her athletes because she gives 100% of herself to her team. The athletes recognize her dedication and respond with incredible effort on the court.
Mary Kellner is a dedicated professional who works tirelessly and loyally to improve th e lives of young women. She not only teaches but she coaches and touches lives everyday. I have personally experienced her dedication in my own daughters' lives and can think of no one more deserving.
Kellner was my high school volleyball coach. When I started student teaching I worked alongside her getting a feel for teaching PE and coaching. She was and still is a great mentor. Because of the time and effort she puts in with all she does it helped me on my road to being a middle school head coach for three sports for the past eleven years.
Coach Kellner has served the GP community for many years with love, passion, and selflessness. She holds her students and athletes to high standards to prepare them for everything life has to throw at them. She makes GPHS a better place.
Coach Kellner is awesome coach I was her Volleyball Manager When .I was in high school, she is one of the best Coaches Galena Park ISD can have to run a Great Volleyball team at GPHS Good Luck Coach Kellner.
