Vickie Moody was nominated by her colleague, Jenny Wood.

Ms. Moody is a school nurse. Most people think that means she hands out aspirin and crackers to students, but she does so much more than that. This year, in the face of the pandemic, she has taken on the oversight role for the entire district of 5,000 students in eight buildings, plus staff at two additional buildings. She speaks with public health several times per day to make sure her district is in compliance with the ever-changing guidelines. She remains a voice of reason as students and staff navigate COVID-19 and the "new normal."

"Through it all, Vickie continues to give loving care to our students who are learning face-to-face," said Wood. "She educates our staff in safety protocols and is a member of our district safety team. Vickie also makes an impact in our community as a member of the local Lions Club, helping to raise funds for students who are in need of glasses and eye exams, as well as raising money for scholarships for our seniors."

Having worked for and with Vickie for the last school year, I have seen her feeling many rolls within the Northmont City School district. As a parent I feel good knowing that my children are in the building where she is the clinic nurse. As a nurse within the district by contract I felt supported by Vicki for guidance and leadership with the students that I was caring for. Working alongside Vicky during this time of covered showed me how truly passionate she is about her job and caring for all those within the Northmont community. One of her fellow employees mentioned about her plate being full, that it so very true. Yet she continues to come to work everyday working very long hours trying to sift through this mess that the pandemic has created. All the while she does it with a smile on her face and compassion in her heart. Way to go Vickie Moody, you really are a Life changer in the Northmont Community!

Hello Vickie, With everything that you had on your plate prior to this COVID19 pandemic, I could say, your plate was already full. You have been able to tackle the stresses of contact tracing along with who should or should not be quarantined. I can only imagine the hours you must be putting in to insure Northmont is compliant. Every time I speak to you, you always have a calm voice and a positive attitude. Vickie, you are what's good about Northmont. I'm throwing you High Fives and I thank you for your commitment to everyone you come in contact with. Thanks again Vickie Eric

Vickie is extremely deserving of this honor! She works hard for the students and staff of the Northmont District. She cares for all of us and wants to help keep everyone safe during this difficult time. She is quick to ask, "How are you doing?" when she genuinely wants to know about our life, mental well-being, etc. She is incredibly knowledgeable and should be recognized for all of her hard work!
