Amy Rothweiler was nominated by her colleague, Annie Peterson.

Ms. Rothweiler helps and changes so many students' lives on a daily basis. She is always there for the students when they need her. There have been many times when she has either taken the students to a doctor's appointment or been there to listen to their problems.

"Amy exemplifies what it means to be a good person," said Peterson. "Her morals and ethics are exceptional. I look to her as a role model, not only at work, but outside of work. Amy creates a professional working environment."

Ms. Rothweiler is a member of many community organizations such as Rotary, St. Luke's Hospital Committee, and The Lutheran Church. She also teaches a Nurturing Parenting class. Ms. Rothweiler makes sure that the staff and students are taken care of, and that they all have a voice. She is constantly making sure that the students' emotional, physical, and educational needs are met. This is crucial at her school, since it is an at-risk alternative high school.

"Amy goes above and beyond her job to provide for our students. She makes sure they have food, school supplies, and a place to go to talk about their problems," said Peterson. "I am very lucky to call Amy my friend, as well as a wonderful co-worker. I have learned a lot from her."
