Leanne Lauritzen was nominated by her principal, Leslie Roach.

Ms. Lauritzen is an absolute professional who attends to every detail at work. She takes care of every visitor who walks through the door, greeting them with the friendliest of smiles and kind words. She is a tremendously gracious person who is also well known in her school as the best dressed!

When students interact with Ms. Lauritzen, they can feel her warmth and sincerity. She believes in them and cares for their futures. She'll go the extra mile to encourage and support students in the office who are in a difficult spot, but she will also hold firm to the line.

"Many staff members use Ms. Lauritzen as their personal counselor. She makes each and every staff member feel like a personal friend. No matter how busy she is, she will stop and give her full attention to anyone who needs it. Ms. Lauritzen is genuinely interested in each persons’ life and personal happiness," Roach said. "She will do anything she can to support them!  Even when there are small requests that seem trivial,  she'll do anything to honor it!"

Ms. Lauritzen is the glue that keeps NHS together. She remains calm, even in the most emotional situations. She can answer any question, for any person and at any time. If for some reason she does not know, she will find out. She keeps administrators sane, teachers well supported, parents informed and students loved.

"Ms. Lauritzen is a model employee and a stand out amongst her peers! NHS would be lost without her!" Roach said.
