LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Brittany Gores was nominated by her colleague, Danielle Peterson.

Mrs. Gores is such a kind, caring person inside and out. Students love to see her, and she has such a compassionate heart. When students need someone to talk to, they seek her out so she can provide a listening ear. She not only offers support to her students, but she also supports colleagues who may need someone to talk to about their struggles in and out of school.

"Brittany greets you with a smile, which makes you feel good. She is the kindest person I know and is a LifeChanger for many of our students," said Peterson.

At the end of each school year, the district's seniors who attended Lewis and Clark Elementary come through with their caps and gowns on. They make sure not to leave before stopping in to see Mrs. Gores. She has made a difference in so many ways to staff and students.

Mrs. Gores has a family that she also takes care of. She has a husband and two fantastic kids. They spend a lot of time at the lake during the summer. She enjoys drawing and listening to music. Mrs. Gores also likes to paint and knit. She was a dancer in high school and cheerleader in college, which shows you her love of life.

"I think Brittany is the epitome of a LifeChanger," said Peterson. "She has changed the lives of some students in a very significant way, but she's most definitely there with an open heart for anyone who is in need. She has a long-lasting impact on our students and staff."
