He was able to transform two lower-performing schools into premier learning environments that became recognized as top-performing Title I Reward Schools. These schools are recognized as the top 5% of Title I schools making progress in the state of Georgia. He connects with his staff, students and parents by building relationships that last beyond the school walls. His approach to instruction is to capture each student's heart before capturing their minds.

His continued efforts to strengthen the culture at his school are impressive. Even when the going gets tough with Covid-19, Mitch continues to have the best attitude. He puts the needs of his people first. Students, faculty, staff, and parents can expect to be greeted with a welcoming smile and gentle chuckle as Mitch demonstrates Southern hospitality and respect for others. Mr. Springer is a Life Changer for sure. He supports his staff and colleagues. He always sees the potential in people and pushes them to see them grow and become all they can. I have seen him quietly work behind the scenes to help individuals, whether they were students, parents, colleagues, or his teachers. Mr. Springer is a cheerleader, and champion for his students. I always appreciated the way he honored students accomplishments. He loves his community and is thoughtful and caring as he leads to insure a great future for all the lives he touches. Mitch Springer is a life changer for students and teachers! He always seeks to provide exceptional experiences that enrich the lives of kids. He is amazing. His fun-loving sprit fosters an inclusive environment at his school. When you drive up to the building, the beautiful flowers and clean landscaping demonstrate the positive attention that is showered on the students and employees inside the building. Since he was named principal at VRM, he has improved the aesthetics, decreased teacher turnover, decreased student discipline referrals, and increased enrollment. Mr. Springer is truly a LIFE CHANGER! It was a true blessing to be able to work for him. He was instrumental in helping me build my leadership skills by knowing exactly what the school needed and leveraging my strengths to push us forward. He was selfless in the time he took to meet with students to inspire them to do better by setting a goal and checking after them to see if they reach their goal. Just look at that smile and the compassion in his eyes. Mitch Springer is one of a kind. He and I coached tennis together at Bowdon High School, and I had the opportunity to watch his firm kindness and guidance with students. He continues to be an example to students and colleagues

Mr. Springer is innovative, respected, compassionate and a true visionary when it comes to his leadership at Villa Rica Middle. As a supervisor for the bus drivers at his school, I have had multiple opportunities to reach out to him for encouragement and guidance, he never fails to provide a resolution to any situation our drivers are faced with regarding student management. His focus is always on students safety and how we, as dedicated professionals, can work as a team to make a positive difference in children's lives. He makes himself available at all times, always has a pleasant greeting, and genuinely cares for his students as well as his staff.
