Music that Describes Debra

Debra Frazier was nominated by her friend, Katrina Moody-Byers.

Mrs. Frazier is, without a doubt, a go getter. She is a creator, a motivator, and a mentor to everyone she comes in contact with on a daily basis. She is a true educator.

Mrs. Frazier started from the bottom and succeeded all the way to the top. She doesn't mind sharing her story. She has been a cafeteria worker, paraprofessional/teacher's aide, teacher, curriculum coordinator, middle school principal, and now a high school principal.

Mrs. Frazier understands the concept of working as a team. She knows every area and adult in her school. She starts each year with a theme which helps all stakeholders to remember the goals of the school's community. Mrs. Frazier always runs her school with a non-judgemental attitude. All students are treated with equal respect and opportunity.

Mrs. Frazier treats all personnel, students, and parents as family. She encourages everyone to do and be their best every day. She is always there when you need a listening ear, as well, and she gives professional advice to all educators. Many educators have progressed in their careers because of Mrs. Frazier and her encouragement to follow their heart's desire. She is an active member in her community, giving a voice to all stakeholders to help students become anything and everything they can be.

Mrs. Frazier not only reaches out to others on a professional level, but on a personal level. She has given to those in need, and she has supported teachers with family emergencies and helping families grow. She even helped a couple get married when they had no support from their family and/or church.

Mrs. Frazier calls and checks on her staff and parents when she knows they need to hear from a friend. She is such an inspiration to anyone who knows her. She is loved and treasured by her students, parents and staff. They don't make them like her too often!

"I am so blessed to have had her as my supervisor, coworker, friend, and sorority sister," said Moody-Byers.

She loves to celebrate her staff and students. She just may show up at their house in a limo to pick them up for achool or a school bus loaded with balloons and gifts. She gains joy by giving to others from her heart...

Thank you for putting in a good word to the principal at that time of MMS. God WORKS in mysterious ways because little did you or I know that I would be calling you my principal for that year & those that followed.

Mrs. Frazier is the kind of person that will bring out the best in you. If she can't, then you have no redeeming value as a human. Mrs. Frazier welcomes all people and all opinions. She listens. She is a mother to her students as well as a mother, sister, auntie, and friend to her staff. She grooms leaders!

Mrs. Frasier has played many roles in my life, from a mentor, to a leader, to someone who I could depend on to listen to me and value me as an educator. I was truly blessed to have her as a part of my life for so many years. Mrs. Frasier understands the importance of family, hardworking and dedication. I will never forget the many acts she performed on the behalf of myself and others and can truly say that she is indeed a special person and deserves celebration and recognition. The education world can use more people like her, but she is indeed one of a kind!

Mrs. Frazier is the penultimate example of what a mentor, educator, and human being should be. Over the 20 years I have known her she has guided me to become the professional she imagined, far beyond what I saw for myself. Personally she has been there for me through good times and bad. Words can’t describe how much she has done for our schools and communities.

I have worked with Mrs.Debra Frazier for over 25 years. She has always been the same confident, kind, and caring person that she is today. When I first started teaching, she was my fellow teacher. She then became my curriculum coordinator and later my principal. One of her strong points is that she always makes an effort to know you on a personal level and she always treats you with respect. She does the same for her students. She has always been the type of person who has an “open door“ and is always ready to listen and give sound advice for your relevant situation and not according to what others feel or think. She is an asset to any school and has always been a fierce leader in the field of education.
