I just want to say congratulations on your retirement. I'm sure that you're enjoying your life to the highest power. Tell David that I lost my phone and that's why I haven't been able to call. Anyway I can be reached at this #(762)282-1661. Tell everyone that I said hello, and God bless you all.??
As an educator myself, I highly respect Dr Price for the depth of her thinking and wisdom. She is a person, whose thoughts are profound and intellectual. I admire her spirituality and fate, which is rare to in today's educational institutions, schools and universities. She is certainly a deserving educator and a true life changer !
When He went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick. Matthew 14:14 (AMP)
In light of Holy Scripture Jesus had compassion on people when he sensed their needs. Like Dr. Price, her compassion goes beyond the understanding of another person’s suffering. Compassionate people feel compelled to do something to help or relieve the suffering they see hindering others around them. The word compassion literally means to “suffer together” or “co-suffering.” Well, when you feel compassion for those around you, you cannot stand by and watch someone else suffering. You are motivated to take action to stop the pain or help in any way you can. Hence, she began early educating herself so that she might educate and help others to reach their potential despite the obstacles they would face in this thing called life. Congratulations, job well done my sister. Apostle Ronald C. Hill/Love and Unity Christian Fellowship/Compton
Dr. Price is an amazing 4th grade teacher and previous site administrator of LUSD who has had a tremendous impact on our community, our staff, our students and myself! Our relationship has grown through one goal and that has been to do what is best for children! Her knowledge and extensive experience has permeated through our school in a variety of ways and is based on the premise of doing what it takes positively impact all students. Her support to me as a new administrator in LUSD is priceless. From helping me understand many facets of the district to daily problem solving. Dr. Price is an outstanding teacher. I met Dr. Price in 2012 at Lindbergh Elementary and for the next 4 years that I was there, I witness her passion and love for teaching. She is well respected by her colleagues, staff, parents and especially from her students. Every time Dr. Price would bring her student to my computer lab, her students were always well behaved, ready to learn and listen. Her students showed respect towards me and towards each other. I believe that was the key to why her students were never disruptive in the computer lab and of course, especially in the beginning of the school year, she would have a few students that were trouble makers, she would immediately talk to the student privately and after their brief conversation, the student would come and apologize to me. Not only did Dr. Price teach the fundamentals of education, she taught lifetime lessons such as respecting others, the importance of each individual, and showing kindness to themselves and others. As, I moved on to the high school, I have continued to see some of Dr. Price former students and this past June, I was able to see her 5th grade class from 2012, become high school graduates. Dr. Price has definitely made an impact on the lives of many of her students and as a witness to her actions, she is highly recommended for the Life Changer of the Year Award. Congratulations Dr. Price and happy retirement!
I know Dr. Price as a peaceful, calm, and determined individual. She always greets me with a smile and an encouraging word. She is approachable and is clearly confident in her role as a community leader. I believe she practices the golden rule of doing unto others as she would have them do to her, which is the ultimate characteristic of a great leader. I congratulate her on her retirement. I recommend her for the Life Changer of the Year Award.

Dr. Greta Donnetta Price is my Aunt and I am proud to say that she is an excellent role model for me. I remember that she taught me how to write my name, draw at age 18 months. I read books and recited poems at the age of two. She was my Sunday School teacher and I attended Sunday School every Sunday, read Bible stories, acted in plays and sang in the choir. along with her until I went away to college.
My Aunt Greta also inspired me to play the Saxophone and motivated me to be a high achiever. She attended all of my athletic competitions- such as football, basketball and track. She cheered for me and was an inspiration for me because she also ran on the girls relay team in high school and was a champion. She always said " Put God First, and everything will fall in place!" I earned a scholarship to a four- year university and she came to watch me play football every home game.
I have had opportunities to volunteer in her classroom and see that her students love her because she nurtures them and shows that she cares. Aunt Greta has inspired me to become a teacher or coach because I want to be a positive influence just as she has been.

I have known Dr. Greta Donnetta Price, my sister to be a" Life Changer" in many students' lives, specifically on students who were "at-risk" of getting off track. She counseled them , invited them to church, as well as sporting events. Dr. Greta always awarded her students in her Sunday School class who were graduating seniors with an awards dinner to celebrate their accomplishments. Many of her students have gone on to play in the NFL and the NBA. These students say enthusiastically that she has been inspirational and a "Life Changer for them.

I have had the honor of being Dr. Price's primary care physician since 2011.
Adversity has never stopped Dr. Price. At 17 years old she and her younger brother were the only survivors of a car accident that took the lives of her mother, uncle, and nephew. She did not let physical or emotional scars detract her from her many accomplishements in the field of education.
I am genuinely impressed by Dr. Price's intelligence, dedication to teaching children, relationship with her family, and commitment to her community andt to her faith.
She works tirelessly for many causes, taking leadership positions and her accomplishments are well documented in the nomination essay provided by Laura Bella.

Not only was Dr. Price my fourth grade teacher, she was also an inspiration and mentor. Dr. Price has inspired me to go above and beyond. She motivated and encouraged me to join many extracurricular activities that will help me in the future. She has been by far the most exceptional teacher that I have ever met.
Dr. Price has always been a blessing in my life . Encouraging to be the best in whatever I do and to always put God first .
Dr. Price has been a blessing ever since I met her. From the moment I met her at MATTIE Academy, she has taken me under her wing. She guided me along the way when I didn't think I was worthy of excelling in life. She encouraged me to finish strong in my studies and because of that I am a high school graduate. She even helped me enroll in Long Beach City College which led me to become a student at California State University Fullerton. Her words inspired me enough to want to help others. Because of Dr. Price, I encouraged my younger siblings to get a college education. You can always count on Dr. Price and that is why she deserves to win this award. She is a God fearing woman who isn't afraid to tell you the word. I hope you take my words into consideration.

Dr.Price is a very fair teacher. She helps alot of students. She may be strict sometimes but to me that shows she cares about us.Cause if she did not be strict sometimes it would show she didn't care about us.She also is a very nice and intelligent teacher. She finds ideas on how we can learn in a fun way and not always in a boring way.

She's been involved in helping out with her sisters nonprofit business which helps out distressed kids... .She gives her time and donate money toward the new hope church...
She has had a passion for education since childhood when she would gather her cousins together and play school. This has carried over into every arena that she has been involved in, including church, and other associations.
Forty-six years ago who knew. It was Gods mercy and amazing grace that allowed Dr.Price to survive a horrific accident. Who knew that she not only would survive, but thrive.
