Elizabeth Colquitt was nominated by an anonymous parent of three students.
"This school year was cut short due to the coronavirus. Mrs. Colquitt went over and beyond for her students," said the nominator. "She was the only teacher my kids had who stayed on top of the school work. She even offered to go to her students' houses to make sure they understood their work. I hate that our year was cut short with her."
Elizabeth Colquit is a very dedicated teacher who goes beyond the classroom to help each students. Not only do they respect her but they know they can depend on her whenever they need help

I had the pleasure and honor of mentoring under Ms. Colquitt while I was in my undergraduate program at Georgia College. I will always admire her passion for her students, and sincere belief that all students can learn, just in their own individual ways. She championed that passion while in the classroom, during parent meetings as well as in administrative settings She is confident and unapologetic when advocating for her students. I have enjoyed following her career through the years, as well as her admirable educational advancements. I think so highly of Ms. Colquitt, I have reached out many times to her through the years for advise and supports on specific needs I have in my own classroom now. She is so deserving of this award.
Yes she did go over and beyond I was disappointed as well that the school year was cut short. Glad my child had the short time that he did she made a big difference cant imagine what else she had in store!!!! Thanks so much for being the great teacher you are!! Team Colquitt????

We absolutely love Mrs. Colquitt. My daughter has excelled this year and it’s all because of the dedication of Mrs. Colquitt. We are sad not to have her next year but wish her all the best. Best teacher hands down ??
