Richard Parham was nominated by an anonymous student.
"Mr. Parham is my absolute favorite teacher," said the nominator. "I had him for a class on law and public safety. Every single class would be super interesting with new discussions, demonstrations, and fun activities. The number one thing I took away from Mr. Parham's class was his love for helping students grow. When Mr. Parham taught us about ethics, jobs, and our future, you could really tell he believed every word he spoke. He always showed his passion for students and never hid it."
"While I was in his class, a couple of other students were messing with me," said the nominator. "Mr. Parham was told about what was happening, and I always felt safe in his class. I never had to worry about someone messing with me in his class because he took me in and made me feel protected."
"I will always go back to Mr. P's class just to laugh with him," said the nominator. "He is always super encouraging. He'll make funny comments about a previous football loss, or mess with other kids in a fun way. Not many people get to experience the love Mr. Parham shows to his school, but I am so so blessed that I was one of the lucky ones."
"On challenging days, I was never scared about going to Mr. P and asking if I could use the restroom, and he would know what I meant," said the nominator. "He never wanted me to feel different than others based off of my struggles, so he never drew attention to large details I didn't want known."
"Mr. Parham is kind, determined, passionate, and overall, an incredible teacher," said the nominator. "I will always take his lessons in school with me to my future. He is a LifeChanger."
