LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Laura Schack was nominated by Pam Bredenkamp, the parent of a student.

Ms. Schack is one of those teachers whose students will remember for the rest of their lives. Teachers are supposed to be nice, but Ms. Schack is way more than nice. She is the most compassionate teacher one could ever meet! She takes the whole student into account - not only their academic abilities, but their overall abilities.

"Our student is a twin, and so is Ms. Schack. That's where they really made a connection," said Bredenkamp. "In addition to being our student's teacher, Ms. Schack has also been her case manager for two years. She has encouraged our student to reach way above what previous case managers have told her she couldn't do. Through her support, our student was recently accepted into college!  Ms. Schack is truly a LifeChanger!"
