Gloria Jackson was nominated by her colleague, Tearee Easter.
Mrs. Jackson goes above and beyond her job duties when it comes to the students, parents, community members, and her colleagues. She starts her work day by greeting everyone with a warm smile and enthusiastic spirit. She always gives positive advice and encouraging words to the students and staff at her school.
Once first period starts, Mrs. Jackson is on her computer tracking and collecting data for attendance. Next, she reviews her data and reaches out to the parents of absent students to make sure they're aware of the absence and to see if there's anything she can do at that time or upon the return of the student. The students and staff love Mrs. Jackson because she makes each person feel special in their own way. Outside of school, she plays a valuable role in her community through various religious organizations and charitable events. Mrs. Jackson works very hard in her church and is highly respected by the wonderful members and staff that make up her congregation.
