LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Greg Castin was nominated by his principal, Georgia Serves.

Mr. Castin is a change agent and visionary. He leads community meetings for staff and students that are called Family Gatherings. He is also the restorative justice facilitator for staff meetings.

Mr. Castin was promoted to social-emotional learning coordinator in the summer because he leads by example and exudes calm and positivity every single day. He is always using fun and food to engage students and staff. He loves ice breakers!

Recently, his school completed a student / staff ice breaker identifying baby pictures. Students and staff collaborated as teammates to win the competition. 

"Greg is always advocating for his students.  He has a heart of gold," said Serves.
