Cindy Baumer was nominated by a family member, Raven Lewis.

Being a custodian is more than a job for Ms. Baumer. She is a Wildcat who bleeds purple and gold. Three of her children have attended Eureka High School, and one of them is currently enrolled. Her children have also attended Eureka Elementary and LaSalle Springs.

Ms. Baumer is an active member of her community. She shows her love and support for Wildcats in and out of school. She loves what she does, and she has no problem helping others and stepping in wherever necessary. Ms. Baumer always has a great attitude and a smile on her face.

"Seeing someone like her doing the job she does, makes me more appreciative and thankful for custodial staff," said Lewis. "Cindy is responsible for more than just sweeping the floors, cleaning lunch rooms, and turning off the lights at the end of the day. Cindy contributes to student learning by creating a clean, healthy environment for students every day...Her hard work affects everyone in her facility."

Ms. Baumer has a strong work ethic. She is great at setting and achieving goals, and she does whatever she sets her mind to. She is competitive, dependable, and self-motivated. Ms. Baumer is always early and starts work on time. She is more than willing to work late, work hard, or pick up a needed shift. She is consistently following through with personal goals and assigned tasks. Ms. Baumer works effectively with little direction, which is better for everyone because it makes the job smooth and efficient.

Ms. Baumer is team-oriented, and she makes the most out of collaboration. She works well with anyone and finds a way to connect with her team despite the differences they may have. She has a unbelievably positive attitude and creates a good environment, which is highly important.

Over the past three years she has served Rockwood, she has been a tremendous part of a team that most people forget about. Ms. Baumer has worked the past three years with nothing but pride and joy, and she always has a smile on her face. She is a needed member of Rockwood. She is the best, and she has all of the qualities of a great person and employee.

"If I had one wish, it would be that everyone got the chance to meet Cindy, so that everyone could experience her love and enthusiasm for her job, her students, her school and co-workers," said Lewis. "Rockwood School District and Eureka High School are lucky to have her on the team. She deserves recognition for a job well done."

Cindy is an amazing person who continually goes above and beyond the call. She creates relationships with the students at EHS and they adore her. Keep up the great work. This is well deserved. #lcoy
