LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Veronica Sanchez was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous.

Ms.Sanchez serves as the school secretary, but she takes on many roles.  She is one of the first people parents or visitors see upon entering school. Ms. Sanchez is always prepared to assist parents, visitors, teachers, and students with a smile that matches her personality. She spreads sunshine to everyone she comes in contact with, and she is readily available to help everyone as needed. Ms.Sanchez creates parent reminder flyers for school events, makes copies of important parent letters, supervises classrooms when teachers need to step away, and serves as the school communicator. This is on top of her work answering telephone calls and tackling day to day issues. 

This year, Ms. Sanchez will also work with parent volunteers. She will assist with meetings and encourage more parents to come and assist the school in a variety of roles. Additionally, Ms. Sanchez has gone on a few home visits with the principal to check on students who are absent. 

"She is a positive, productive, responsible, dedicated person who is a pleasure to work with. I'm proud to work with Ms. Veronica Sanchez at Cimarron Elementary," her nominator said.
