LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Wallene Kingston was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous 

Mrs. Kingston is new to teaching fifth grade, and is working very hard to make sure every student succeeds. She's a teacher who goes above and beyond for each student. She's aware that there are students in the school who are having a difficulties at home.  Mrs. Kingston has made every attempt to ensure that these students are in great hands and has held parents accountable to ensure they do everything possible to help their child succeed.

"We have one specific student who is experiencing a life threatening condition," the nominator said. "Mrs. Kingston has gone out of her way to visit the student at home and has purchased items to make him feel more comfortable."

Mrs. Kingston has kept in constant contact with the mother of the student and receives weekly updates from her.

"Mrs. Kingston is a very special person," the nominator said. "She has taught me that with this profession, compassion is key to build a great and everlasting relationship with parents."
