Tracy Carroll was nominated by her husband, 2016-17 LifeChanger of the Year award winner, Billy Carroll.
A great teacher is responsible for more than just academic enrichment. A great teacher is someone who is committed to their students’ well-being, inside and outside the classroom. A great teacher can change a student’s life. All of these phrases and more perfectly describe Tracey Carroll.
Mrs. Carroll has been a dedicated teacher’s assistant for more than seven years. In addition to being a teacher’s assistant, she is a full-time wife, full-time mother, full-time college student, and Sunday School teacher. During her time at Popp's Ferry Elementary School, Mrs. Carroll has demonstrated the ability to make a beneficial difference in the lives of students, add to the development of the school’s atmosphere, provide leadership within the school, perform at a professional level, produce a nurturing atmosphere, and adhere to high moral and ethical standards.
Mrs. Carroll has demonstrated a proven ability to make a beneficial difference in the lives of students through education, inspiration, and guidance. For example, she makes learning fun and stimulating, inspires students to work harder, and becomes a trusted source of advice for her students. She has demonstrated the ability to positively add to the development of the school's atmosphere by making her students feel warm and welcoming. While overseeing students in the morning or evening time, during car rider lines, or in the cafeteria, she is quick to greet students with a friendly smile, a hand-shake, and/or a greeting!
Mrs. Carroll has also demonstrated a proven ability to provide leadership within her school. Through DonorsChoose.org, she has taken the lead within her building for writing, submitting, and receiving funding for various projects through DonorsChoose.org. The supplies from these projects are used to bring learning to life for her students. Mrs. Carroll has also demonstrated a record of excellent performance at the professional level.
Although she wears “many hats” throughout the week, she has still maintained a 3.5 GPA as a full-time college student. She has demonstrated a commitment to producing a nurturing atmosphere. Her students work hard every single day. Although it may seem small to an adult, the children's faces light up when she gives them a chance to get into the treat jar after all of their hard work.
Mrs. Carroll has a strict adherence to high moral and ethical standards. She is always at work, continually seeks professional development to become a better teacher, does not entertain gossip, and always conducts herself in a very professional manner.

Mrs. Carroll is a wonderful and amazing teacher's assistant. She loves and takes care of her students as if they were her own. She goes above and beyond what is expected of her at her job. She helps anyone and everyone that she can. She definitely deserves this!!

I enjoyed working with Mrs.Carroll at Popp'sFerry Elementary .She never hesitated to help anyone out such as putting up bulletin boards ,running off papers and decorating for special events .Mrs. Carroll also did a great job in tutoring to help out with those who needed extra assistance with their class work .They really looked up to her for her special kindness and positive rewards for their efforts in class .I also had the opportunity to work with Tracey as a parent .She is a very loving and caring mother of Jax and Joey whom she she dedicates her time to being a concerned and devoted parent .I admire her positive attitude and hard work towards not only their education but hers and her husbands as well . She is also a very true friend of mine .I'm so proud of Mrs.Carroll is so deserving of this award .

I've known Tracey well over 30 years. She was raised with good worth ethics and good moral foundation. She loves her family and the children she works with. Wow where to even begin! Tracey embodies the word TEACHER! She is compassionate, encouraging, genuine, and simply amazing! I've been blessed to call her my friend for over 20 years and through the years I've watched the lives she has impacted including my own.
