LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Renee Luckhurst was nominated by her colleague, Erika Hauck.

Mrs. Luckhurst has proven to be such a valuable asset to the Estelline School District.  She was hired as a paraprofessional this year and mainly works in the fifth grade classroom.

"She has done such an excellent job with all the students in that classroom, but it especially tugs at my heart how much my own son loves and respects her," said Hauck. "Mrs. Luckhurst has selflessly served as part of our United States military and is now a veteran.  My son was so excited to be able to tell her 'thank you' for her service.  He thought it was so awesome that a veteran worked in his classroom.  I can’t put into words what a positive influence she has had on my son and his friends.  He just adores her and enjoys talking to and working with her.  She encourages my son to be a better person and a friend.  She has made such a positive impact on the students in the fifth grade classroom."
