Jon Shearin was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Mr. Shearin makes a difference in his students' lives on a daily basis by showing them how to fix and maintain a car. The students learn how to do this using real vehicles that need fixing. They learn how to use the different tools that are needed to fix the vehicles so when they graduate, they have been exposed to how to do basic tasks. Many students do not have an opportunity to learn basic skills, and Mr. Shearin provides this to his students. Beyond the skills the students are learning, Mr. Shearin is also creating a great school environment between staff and students.
