Kim Cook was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Officer Cook, known by students and staff as "Cookie," is the definition of a LifeChanger! She goes above and beyond every day to make sure her students and staff feel safe at school. She teaches DARE and responds when someone calls for help. Her favorite times, however, are spent on a playground playing with children, in a classroom with students, or participating in Shop with a Cop at holiday time.

Cookie started a coat drive called Coats for Cookie's Kids. She can be seen in the neighborhood, at ball games, and at community events. She is a fierce advocate for every child. Cookie even shaved her head with a fellow staff member undergoing cancer treatment.

"She is a LifeChanger, and we are lucky to have her," said her nominator.

Kim aka Cookie the Cop is the absolute best . She cares for all the kids in our small town. She always finds wats to give and give back . She’s fun loving, beautiful and an inspiration to us all . We love Kim

Officers are trained to do procedural job functions but you can’t train them to genuinely care about the people they serve and protect. Officer Cook possesses those traits and more. I believe the impact Officer Cook makes in the lives of the students she serves will last a lifetime for many of these children.

She deserves this more than anyone! She is always doing what she can for "her kids"! She goes above and beyond and the school are fortunate to have her!

Kim is real - she doesn't pretend or put on a front. She has a genuine love and concern for people - whether it be family, co-workers or, as she refers to them, "her kids". Thank you for your heart and your service to our community.

Seeing this made me cry tears of joy! The fact that my moms hard work doesn’t go unnoticed means so much to me, and i know it does her as well. She is the most kind, hard working, and everything under the sun person i know. She is a life changer, and will forever be. I truly believe her purpose here on this earth, was to be a giver, a provider, and someone to show love to others who don’t understand. Yes she is my mom, so yes i may be biased but everything I’ve said is the truth. She goes above and beyond. In my book she will ALWAYS be a life changer.
