Lori Greene was nominated by Brittany Whitley, the parent of a student.

"Where do you begin to describe Mrs. Greene and how she is a LifeChanger? She was my son's Kindergarten teacher, and he is now in third grade," said Whitley. "My son is shy, gets frustrated easily, and can be hard to understand at times, but she instantly connected with him. He...can be a tough cookie to crack when it comes to him completing his school work. He shuts down when he makes a mistake, but Mrs. Greene can always calm him down and bring him back to balance. She understands kids. You can tell she takes the time to get to know your child, and she really wants the best for them. She gave my child confidence in himself that year. She communicates so well."

"Mrs. Greene loves students as her own children, and she knows their abilities," said Whitley. "She is so very special and has a rare gift. After struggling in first grade, my son was lucky enough to have Mrs. Greene in second grade once again. He excelled, and any time he started to doubt himself, she was there to save the day and make sure he understood his work on his level. The emails, text and phone calls really do mean a lot to a parent. They show the teacher cares. Mrs. Greene is forever a LifeChanger in our home!"

Both of my great grand kids had Mrs. Green Aden and Alli Knight ,they loved her in kindergarten. Then Alli had her in First grade She is so kind to her students and goes that extra mile for each one of them. Our kids were very lucky to start school with Mrs. Green, she taught them so much . Good luck Mrs.Green ,you deserve this ,you helped our kids so much.

Congratulations to you, Lori! You deserve this! Lori is one of the hardest working teachers I've ever known. When I started out as a new kindergarten teacher, she was happy to take me under her wings and mentored me through my first few years. She's always going above and beyond to make learning fun for the students. And if you walk into her classroom, it looks like a kindergarten classroom. Come spring time, her students will paint big flowers to hang up and count down the days until kindergarten is over. If she teaches your child, you may receive a really cool personalized calendar made with your child's hand prints and your child dressed up for every month memorable costumes. Not only did I work with her but she taught my child and she left a lasting impression on him. She made kindergarten fun for him. And most definitely, given the opportunity, I'd only teach kindergarten with Lori Greene!!

Mrs. Greene is my son’s Kindergarten teacher. Although, this is my first year getting to experience having her as my child’s teacher, I’ve always heard great things about her and can witness to those things now. As a parent, you are filled with mixed emotions when you have a child starting school. One minute you’re excited for your child and the next you’re nervous because you wondering if your child will adapt to the changes. You’re wondering if they’re behaving and how their day is going. Mrs. Greene helped me to feel at ease and confident that my child was in a good place. He really likes her. He comes home everyday letting me know what they did in class and he’s eager to learning more outside of the classroom. That itself, lets me know that he’s learning everyday. He’s learned so much in such little time. You can tell Mrs. Greene love what she does. She’s been a huge impact in our school life and we are very appreciative for all that she’s done thus far. I know there is so much more to come.

As the principal at Aquadale it is an honor to work alongside Mrs. Greene. She is fair and consistent with her students. With her coworkers she is a wealth of knowledge and a sounding board for their ideas. Her support and feedback for them is genuine and rooted in helping kids. Aquadale is better because of Mrs. Greene!

Congratulations Lori! You so deserve this. You are one of the most awesome kindergarten teachers I've ever seen. Your patience is unending and your caring for each of your students really shows through. I'm really hoping you're around to teach my grandson next year! He needs a teacher just like you!

Mrs.Greene is my sons teacher is a handful but loving he has trouble paying attention sometimes but Mrs. Greene always manages to keep him on task and ready to learn and he loves her she is incredible with him
