Music that Describes Chester

Chester Forsh's nominator would like to remain anonymous.

Mr. Forsh, more commonly known as Coach, has been a pillar in Douglas County for nearly five decades. In 1973, after graduating from Berry College, he began his career as an educator at DCHS. This marks his 47th year at one institution. Not only is he an educator, but a volunteer bus driver, coach of three sports, father, husband, and a mentor to new teachers at DCHS. He has led the Lady Tigers basketball squad to many regional championships, and he has seen hundreds of his student-athletes fund their education from scholarships.

"I cannot think of an educator as loyal and dedicated as he is," said his nominator.

47 years exemplifies a truly dedicated professional! Coach Forsh has impacted generations of hometown student athletes. He teaches academics, builds character, and coaches several sports. He is a jack of all trades and steps up wherever he is needed without complaint. A true pillar of the community!
