Peggy Kilgo was nominated by a parent of two students, Erin Glass.
Mrs. Kilgo was the third grade teacher for each of Glass' two kids, and she could not have asked for a better teacher to be in their lives. She doesn't just love her students - she loves their families, the community, and her co-workers. That love is reciprocated. She will stop at nothing to help her students reach their potential. Mrs. Kilgo is the teacher who will stay after school every day to tutor students in order to help them succeed at school and in life.
Mrs. Kilgo exudes positivity and love. She is the teacher students fall in love with and want to stay with forever. She is always learning and expanding her toolbox, so that she can be the best teacher she can be and provide the best education possible to all of her students. She teaches and lives by her motto, "Today is going to be a GREAT day!"
"My children are both out of elementary school now, but love to go back and visit Mrs. Kilgo and get one of her hugs. She is one of those teachers whose lessons live on for a lifetime--a teacher not to be forgotten," Glass said.
