I cannot imagine my life without her, and her students all love and remember her fondly. Words cannot express how hard she works to get her students to love reading. She is a true advocate for those who need someone to guide them down the right path in life. I owe her for inspiring me to go into this profession, and I cannot thank her enough for helping me through my hard times in life. She is the most selfless, creative person I know."
My teacher does fun activities in math and science. She is kind and brings good snacks for fun Friday. She has lots of books for us to read. My favorite books are The Bad Guys.
I love my second grade teacher because she is nice. She always does stuff for us and we have lots of fun. I love to read Dr. Seuss books. I hope she wins!
Ms. Shearin always has time for her peers. She will offer ideas and strategies that are helpful in the classroom. She is a great part of our team.
Ms. Shearin is my son, Noe's, 2nd grade teacher. I love the way she has connected with him. She has such a positive attitude and she pushes him to do the best he can and it shows. He is much more confident and independent in his work. He now loves to do math and loves to read. Noe really adores her. Thank you Ms. Shearin for your awesomeness and dedication to your students!

Ms. Shearin was my oldest son's 3rd grade math teacher. I love that she always connected math with reading. Chase says, "She made me want to read more and she was my math teacher. Ms. Shearin is the reason that I read now." Now I have the chance to work with her as a coworker and I am thankful that I have her to help guide me to be a better teacher. We love Ms. Shearin!
As a first year teacher, I have the pleasure to be a colleague of Ms. Shearin. I admire Ms. Shearin’s energy, passion, and commitment to her craft. She has truly set a positive example for me. What I truly admire from her is her consistency. Everyday she is the first one in and last one out the building. Ms. Shearin deserves to be recognized for all her hard work and her kind soul.

Mrs. Shearin is one of the hardest working teachers I know. She’s working from sun up to sun down. I’m sure she even works in her sleep! She pours her heart into changing the lives of the children she encounters, even if those children are not her students. She has a way of building a love for books and reading like no other. Students come back and visit her years after being in her classroom. If that’s not a life changer, I don’t know what is!

I first met Angie as her daughter's teacher. She was always encouraging to her daughters and wanted them to do their best. I saw her work so hard to get through college and earn her degree to teach. She has never given up on herself or her students. She supported them and helped them to develop confidence and strive for more. She has always been a life changer!
It is with great appreciation I write this life changer of the year recommendation for Ms.Shearin. It was in third grade when Ms.Shearin took over the remainder of my third grade math class as my original teacher set out on maternity leave. She made math become my favorite and strongest subject throughout my entire education. I was placed in advanced math courses in school due to her strong teaching skills. She was and remains a teacher passionate about her students learning and enjoying the subject matter while incorporating fun and creativity. She has always gone the extra mile to give extra help and tutor children whenever possible. I know this because I am now 30 years old and throughout my years, I was not only a student who sat in her class, I became her coworker who worked right along beside her in afterschool programs. I remain close to Ms. Shearin because she has instilled values in me that she still portrays today. No matter what discouragement she has faced, till this day, she still puts on a smile and teaches with the same passion, drive and enthusiasm as she did when I was her third grader. She is by far the best teacher I have ever had and there is no one more deserving to be recognized than she is! Thank you.

Angela Shearin is a remarkable teacher. She gives more than 100% of herself to her students. She spends countless hours finding ways to reach her students needs and reward them for their achievements. Mrs. Shearin does all that she does not for any recognition but only to enrich her students learning environment.
Ms.Shearin is by far the best teacher I’ve ever had. I had Ms.Shearin back in 2011 as my 3rd grade math teacher. Even though I wasn’t a fan of the subject, I looked forward to her class everyday, as she always found creative ways for us to learn. Although she taught math she had what felt like a whole library in her classroom, which encouraged my classmates and I to read. I’ll always remember Ms.Shearin as the most caring, uplifting and patient teacher ever.
Ms. Shearin has been an amazing teacher/mentor to my child! He has really learned so much from her. Her desire for teaching and helping others is truly noticeable and appreciated! She definitely deserves this!!!

Mrs.Shearin was one of my best teachers! I remember 20 years ago, when I was in first grade one of my classmate did not have a backpack, and one day she came to school with a backpack for the student. She showed us how much she cared for us, I felt so happy in her class! She deserves all the awards of the best teacher. I only have good memories of her!
Ms. Shearin is the absolute best. She has changed my little sister Josie’s life so much. Josie has multiple learning disabilities and mental disabilities. Ms. Shearin always works with her, doesn’t make her feel left out. She’s such an amazing teacher. Josie has improved so much in half a school year then she has all her school year life. Very hard-working, comes in to work at 6 in the morning and leaves until 10:30 at night, couldn't ask for a more dedicated teacher.

Ms. Shearin is definitely a life changer. She was one of the first teachers I met when I first started this profession. She didn’t hesitate to advise and help me. Just watching her teach with so much and passion as dedication helped me visualize the type of teacher I wanted to be. It’s not unusual to find her spending her money making copies for her students at copy centers. It’s been 16 years since I first met her and she still has that same passion and dedication.
Every time I’d go to her class she’d have a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Definitely a teacher I will remember forever!??

She treats every child as if they are her own. She makes sure they are not hungry by providing snacks. Then she makes sure their education needs are met. She will come in early and stay late if that’s what it takes. She takes reading to a higher level in order to make them excited about reading. ?? Mrs. Shearin

She always has such a lovely and positive attitude. Everytime i pick up my child from school, she helps her on the vehicle and is so nice. She greets my other little one in the car with her smile.
Angels is an educator like no other I’ve ever had the fortunate to witness. Her passion for enhancing the classroom experience, providing students with a classroom environment that mirrors the home of a family, spending more time on her students than she does herself, building relationships with the families of her students, establishing an impact that goes beyond the four walls of her classroom, and the love that she has for her career are one in a million. She is the educator that other teachers should aspire to be, and a human being that inspires others to become the upmost of their potential. If award shows like the Oscars existed for teachers, she would sweep every category. To my former teammate, classroom neighbor, and dear friend, I say Congratulations for all that you are and all that you do!
I was ms. Shearins student 2010-2011 and I must say shes one of the teachers that will stay with me forever. She plays the a role in my life that made me the woman I am today. She deserves anything positive coming her way!
