Paula is living her dream job because she has always wanted to be a teacher. When she was young every day after school she came home and pretended to be a teacher. She had everything from books, grading pencils, attendance sheets to imaginary students. I know this because I am her mother and yes, maybe I am a little biased but I do know dedication and live for a profession when I see it. Her commitment to the kids and her job does not end at the of her work day. The children love her energy and new ideas ahe presents in the classroom as I have seen their huge smiles. I am very proud of the teacher she has become and she is very deserving of this award.

I am not only proud to know Paula Edwards, but I am prouder to call her a friend. Paula not only cares about her students in the classroom, but also outside of the classroom. Each student that crosses Ms. Edwards path impacts her life not only professionally, but personally as well. Ms. Edwards is the first person to boast on her students excellence, and also be the first one to be there for the difficult times. She truly cares about the education and well being of EACH of her students. Paula is not only a friend to me, but a role model as well. If everyone had a fraction of the heart that Paula Edwards has, the world would be a much better place! Good Luck P! Proud of you!

Ms. Edwards is the teacher, that these students will remember forever. She has a gift for knowing exactly what students need, and figuring out how to give it to them; with the grace, humor, respect and kindness, that outshines so many in her field. She was born to teach...any kiddo who passes through Ms. Edward’s classroom door, knows they are safe, loved and valued. She deserves way more than an award ??
