Position: Administrative Assistant / Receptionist
School: Sacred Heart School
School District: Sacred Heart School
City, State: Southaven, MS
Lynoir Pullen was nominated by her colleague, Sister Margaret Sue Broker.
Miss Lynoir, as she is called at school, is the first person everyone meets upon entering her school building. No matter how she feels, she is kind, gracious, and at the service of the person to whom she is speaking. She is the kind of person one wants to talk to talk to in bad times and in good times.
Miss Lynoir recognizes every student and calls them by name. If a student is sick, Miss Lynoir makes them feel safe and cared for. If a student comes bouncing in with a message from their teacher, a money pouch or a requested list, Miss Lynoir greets them and helps them with a smile. She knows the answer to almost every question, and if she doesn't know the answer, she knows how to find it. She writes letters, fills out required forms, finds records, and does an endless amount of typing for the school.
"Miss Lynoir is truly the warm face of Sacred Heart School," said Sister Margaret Sue. "We all know that when Lynoir is working on something, it will be done well, and with the utmost professionalism. She has been part of the school long enough to know the history of the school and many of the staff and families..This makes for a family spirit at our school. She is extremely honest and holds dearly what is said in confidence."
