As the school social worker in the building, I get to see how Chris builds strong relationships with the students she serves. She takes the time to make sure they work hard to meet expectations and reach their goals. The connections she has with students enable her to take them far beyond what they though possible. Her humor and rapport keep them engaged. Additionally, Chris goes above and beyond to support other staff in order to better serve all of the students in the school. She is often consulted or called upon to assist with complex and persistently challenging situations. We are fortunate to have a teacher who steps up and finds solution at every stage.
Chris has a unique relationship with each one of her students. She builds on their strengths and helps them see their potential. She is able to guide them through their struggles effortlessly. She never gives up on her students. Her students know she will always be available for a hug and a smile.
