Mrs. Macias is a fantastic administrator! She cares about her students and staff. She treats everyone like family and does anything she possibly can to show everyone she cares and wants to help in any way possible.
"Everyday, I look forward to going to work because I know I have a huge support behind me. That means a lot," said one of her nominators. "Every staff member feels appreciated, and the students love and respect her. She shows true care with her staff and students. There is no task that does not get attended to by her. She makes sure the school is safe and secure for students and staff so learning can occur. Even staff meetings are fun and engaging. She's always checking on staff and making sure we are doing okay. That means a lot, too!"
We are so fortunate to have Mrs. Macias as our principal at Kennedy. She is supportive of our students, parents, and staff and truly wants the very best for our school. We have a student population with many needs in our school and she has helped to create a positive, safe, structured, and fun learning environment. With her leadership our staff has come together to create a school that is supportive and a wonderful place to work!
Mrs. Macias is very deserving for this nomination. The transformations she has done for our building are phenomenal. She truly cares for the students and the staff at Kennedy. She goes above and beyond for EVERYONE at Kennedy. I have never worked for such a strong leader and it makes a tremendous difference in not only the students, but also the teachers as well. We LOVE Mrs. Macias.
Words cannot even begin to describe what Mrs. Macias has done for our building. She cares for her students and staff. She is always there to hear our concerns and share in our successes. She makes our building a place that everyone wants to come to. She can be serious, silly, fun, and everything in between. She is always communicating with us so we always know what is coming up. She is the true definition of a leader, she asks for input from the staff. She goes out of her way to make sure our building has everything we need to help prepare our students and give them the best education we can. We are so blessed to have her as our building principal. She makes our building an engaging place for the students and she interacts them them every single day. She starts their morning with music and dancing right from the start. They all absolutely love her.
IN control,smart,confident,strict but fair ,enforces rules AND discipline,school changer,friendly,will even clean a mess up in the restroom when custodian is absent,and respected.Just what this school needed.
We are so blessed to have Mrs. Macias as our principal. Our school has a lot of high need students and in the 2 years she has been here she has made a significant difference. She is so supportive of all the stakeholders. She is a champion for our school.
Mrs. Macias is so deserving of this nomination. She has walked into a school where control seemed to be firmly in the control of the students. Bad behavior seemed to be rewarded. When she took over as principal last year, she stepped up to the challenge and supported her new staff. She has created an environment where "what is best for students" is supported even when it is not popular with students, parents, or staff. She has developed a school climate that is positive and beneficial to students. With her leadership great things are in Kennedy's future!
