Mrs. Dunston not only changes the lives of the many kindergarten students that walk through her door, but she also changes the lives of numerous teachers and student teachers she has mentored over the years. 

Mrs. Dunston has a true gift of reaching the most challenging students and guiding them to academic and social success by providing a loving, structured classroom environment. Through her classroom songs, catchy rhymes, engaging interactive activities, and positive classroom management, her students excel in numerous areas, including phonics, phonemic awareness, and social skills. She is an amazing mentor for all. Mrs. Dunston provides student teachers and new teachers with expert advice and ideas for lessons, classroom management, and much more. She will stop whatever she is doing to provide one-on-one teaching support or mentorship.

Mrs. Dunston strives to build the best relationships with her students and their families. She advocates for their needs and provides them with local community resources to help with many situations. She spends time before and after school making herself available to students, families, and staff. Mrs. Dunston is more than willing to take time out of her personal life to help others. She has worked countless hours as a testing coordinator to provide students and staff with a pleasant and well-organized testing environment.
