"Ms. T has had such a positive impact on my life and the lives of others," said her nominator. "In her class, she allowed us to freely express ourselves and give opinions on things we learn in class. I have struggled with depression for years, and she noticed, gave me advice, and mentored me throughout my freshman year. She also helped me with my anxiety through her after-school meditation class. Her class is my safe zone in school, and she is always someone I can talk to. She deserves recognition for everything she does for high school students, from being a source of comfort in times of need, to challenging us to think outside the box and explore new ideas."
