Music that Describes Angie
Angie Orth was nominated by her colleague, Kelly McClure.
Ms. Orth was given the challenge of working one-on-one with a kindergarten student who had been in and out of foster through his entire life. Since March, this student has been in eight foster homes before finally being with his aunt. The beginning of the school year was very hard for him. His anxiety was so high, he couldn't function. His attendance time was moved to one hour a day, and Ms. Orth was assigned to help him slowly become adjusted to the school environment.
After eight weeks, this student is now up to half a day. Ms. Orth is so patient and compassionate, not only with him, but with every student she works with. She has been open to learning anything she can in order to effectively reach students with extensive trauma. She is always willing to jump in and help with anything she can. Even though she faces challenges herself, she carries herself with dignity and strength.
Angie,
I am so blessed to have you in my classroom this year. You love each of our kiddos and work so hard to help them in any way you can. Brainstorming ideas, helping with behaviors, and helping me in any way you can. Even with your own personal struggles, you still show up and do your absolute best. Keep on keepin on. You’re doing a wonderful job!
Angie,
I just wanted to say thank you for having such a monumental impact on my sweet boys life. From day 1 you have been by his side, helping mold him into the man he will be someday not only by teaching him but by providing comfort and filling his heart sooo full with love. It took a whole army and you lead it every single step of the way. Angie, thank you for letting us see the light at the end of the tunnel, thank you for never giving up, thank you for putting your blood, sweat and tears into making sure that NO CHILD was left behind. You truely are one of a kind Angie Orth! We are so blessed to have someone like you!
Of all people to be nominated you should be. You have struggled through out your whole life, but some how have managed to give your all to help anyone in need weather it put you in a bind or not!
Have known Angi for years but loved working with her last year! She loves the kids and wants to help them anyway she can, but also makes the learning fun! Congrats Angi!
I am proud to say that I have known Angie since she was born. In fact, I used to babysit her, her brother and her sisters. I have watched her grow into an amazing young woman with such amazing strength and tenacity. She has been through a lot of heartache which has only made her stronger and more driven. Her concern is always for others and her heart is as big as they come. I am so happy to be able to support her for this award as she is so deserving.
You are so awesome and I can’t thank you enough for all you do for the kiddos!
Angie is great with everyone she crosses paths with. Truly an angel on earth.
You are such a sweet person!! Thanks for supporting our children and giving them what they need to go out and make this world a better place!!!
Angie is the most deserving person to win this award! She is so compassionate, patient, and loving to not only children, but to all people no matter their background. I’m so proud to call her a friend!
Angie, I am so proud of you! You truly made my job as a teacher so much better. I’ve worked with lots of people over the years but none quite like you. The way you love students unconditionally and work tirelessly to support them is like no one I know. You are a blessing to all who know you and I know I couldn’t have done my job well without you. Thank you for being a hard worker and an advocate for students, even when life was handing you lemons. Keep shinning dear friend.
Angie has such a sweet soul after so much of her own heartache, but never lets that get in the way of what she’s able to do for anyone else! She will go above and beyond to reach anyone she can to help! She deserves this award more then anyone I know! She continues to push forward and raising her sons to be such respectful, genuine, kind souls!
