I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Gomez throughout the past five years. I was her mentor as she transitioned from ESE Teacher's Assistant to ESE Teacher, which was an easy change for her as she is a natural teacher. She is dedicated to all of her students and driven to help them experience success. Ms. Gomez advocates for students, strives to make a difference in their daily lives, works to teach life skills, self-advocacy skills, and goal setting skills, all while supporting and being there for guidance. Ms. Gomez is now mentoring other teachers and sharing her knowledge and expertise to have an even bigger impact.

I have had the pleasure of working with Angelica Gomez for the past 5 years and she is definitely a Life changer. I struggle with popularity as our students always pick her as their favorite teacher. Her students look forward being in her class since she makes her lessons fun, interactive, and meaningful. She is an innovator as she comes up with new ideas and ways to make her class more effective in a fun way. She has taken on the leadership of our Access Point program and works pro-bono with Lake County schools as she helps them improve the blue prints for the Access Point curriculum. She coordinates our ESE student's field trips and becomes the biggest cheerleader in the bus to make sure that our students have the best time possible. She is a role model in so many aspects, but the one that stands out the most is her willingness to think outside the box in order to create life changing experiences for our students in which they feel that they are the most special kids in the world. We are all blessed to have such a wonderful life changer in our school. Sincerely, Mr. Quiles

Ms. Gomez has a gift. She is adept at working with special needs children with various abilities and behaviors. She has exceptionally high standards for all of her students encouraging them to think at a high level and stretch themselves academically. She began her career in education as a teacher's assistant at a high needs ESE school and put her natural ability to good use when she earned her degree and a classroom of her own. She is a model teacher and consistently opens her door to other teachers for learning opportunities. East Ridge High School is lucky to have Ms. Gomez!
