Music that Describes Faith
Faith Huff was nominated by her colleague, Marsha Beattie.
Mrs. Huff makes a difference in the lives of the students at York Chester Middle School on a daily basis. She is the librarian and encourages students to read and take ownership of the school library. She connects with the students on their level and challenges them to be a better person, not only in school, but in the community. Mrs. Huff is able to communicate with students in a way they understand and holds them accountable for their behavior and choices they make. She extends her love and appreciation to each student and is never judgemental. She encourages them to be themselves, and they understand she loves and accepts them for who they are. Mrs. Huff attends workshops and trainings to better herself as a professional and brings back ideas to the school.
Faith Huff is an amazing educator who works endlessly and tirelessly for all of us at York Chester Middle School.
She is so dedicated, positive, and patient with students and faculty members alike.
Mrs. Huff is incredibly tech savvy and is always kind and gentle when explaining the finer points of using a chromebook
or google classroom to those of us less blessed in that department.
She is a blessing to our school and a great caring person to know.
Where to start? I have known Faith for more than half my life. She is the epitome of what it means to be a life changer. Through the ups and downs, she has always been there for me to offer an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and arms to hold me. She has always pushed me to be the best version of myself, and she does the same for her students. Faith does everything in her power to make sure her students have the resources they need to educate themselves and grow into mature young adults. Her students and myself are all incredibly lucky to have met such an incredibly passionate warrior for us on our life’s journey. I love you, matey! ??
Faith Huff is one of the rare people you will meet in this world that is passionate and powerful. Over almost a decade of friendship, she has taught me how to be mindful, caring, and compassionate all while holding me accountable to the person she always knew I could be. There are few people who have had a greater on my life, and I am forever grateful for her. Faith helped me grow as an educator and a person. I am who I am today because of her. I love her more than words.

Mrs. Huff goes above and beyond daily to ensure each YCMS student feels wanted and cared for. Our student population is most fortunate to have Mrs. Huff!
Mrs. Huff has inspired me to be and take pride in myself and stand up for what I believe in. She's there if you need someone to talk to or a place to go. If you need help she has resources and advice or if you just need to find a book she'll help you and give you recommendations. She is funny and caring, we call her "Mom" because of how she can be stern and funny, caring but will call you out. She is an all around amazing person and I love her.
Mrs. Huff is a pretty cool teacher that is a lot of fun to talk to. She has a great sense of humor and is great at changing people's lives for the better, encouraging people to be themselves and not let anyone but themselves judge them. She has one of the greatest personalities I've ever seen in a person, and I do hope that she lives a long and prosperous life.
Mrs.Huff is a good Liberian she really knows how to connect to the students and she is really kind. She loves for us to get to know her and really know the type stuff she likes and we like for her to get to know us too.
Faith has made a huge difference as we continue to shift the culture at our school. She has a great since of humor, that one notices immediately, but more importantly as you get to know her you find that her passion is people. She provides a sanctuary for students in the form of her library. We are fortunate to have her as our media specialist and friend...
Faith Huff has been a blessing to York Chester Middle School. She has turned the media center into such a welcoming, inviting, and safe space that students ask to spend their lunch and/or their recess time in there. Mrs. Huff has had a positive impact on her library assistants, some of whom have needed that one special person to give them a chance. She started the Kaleidoscope Club, an all-inclusive group that gives LGBTQ students and supporters a chance to meet and discuss relevant topics. Mrs. Huff is a wealth of information and an awesome resource for cross-curricular lessons. My students love going to the media center to work with her!

Faith is an amazing teacher with a big heart. She has a love and a passion for middle school students like ours that knows no bounds. She shows more grace and mercy to misunderstood children than I’ve seen anyone do in all my years of teaching and working with students. She is a true inspiration to me and to those around her each and every day. It is an honor to call her my colleague but more so to call her my friend. Faith is more than deserving of this recognition.
This is my first year at YCMS, and I do have to say that Mrs. Huff is a great asset to our school. She is there for the students and staff and always with a positive attitude and willing to help. Mrs. Huff is a great role model and is very inspiring to our students. Day in and day out she gives her all and goes above and beyond. Mrs. Huff is a fantastic educator. She takes the time and nurtures children so they can reach their full potential. She works with children that other educators have given up on. She cares, and is able to reach un-reachable children. She is a LifeChanger!
Ms. Huff is an ally to all of our students. She is very supportive to my ELL students and has shown them where we have Spanish-language books for them to read. She has very responsible library helpers and that is a reflection on her teaching. I always know that if I need anything that she can help me with, she will do so as soon as she can. She's the best candidate for this award!
Mrs. Huff is an outstanding educator who cares for her students. She has transformed our Media Center to "THE" place to be at our school. The Cougar Commons is a positive learning environment, inclusive to everyone.

Faith is an amazing librarian and mentor to so many kids. She teaches a love for books along with a love for people, all people. She makes learning fun and loves passing along her vast knowledge with other educators. She is always there to help the kids and staff when needed. She goes beyond the extra mile to make her library fun, engaging, and makes everyone feel welcome. This award would be awesome for Faith and York Chester! Absolutely nobody could deserve it any more!
