Belonde Jean-Louis was nominated by his colleague, Patrick Sutherland.

Mr. Jean-Louis goes above and beyond to help coworkers, even in subject areas he isn't directly involved in. He mentors children, feeds them when they're hungry, takes on the role of a father figure when necessary, and so much more. His classroom is nothing but positive, and his students have some of the highest test scores. He is also the grade level leader and department chair.

"This person is not only my hero and who I aspire to be, but someone every student or teacher can benefit from knowing," said Sutherland.
