Ryan Strahan was nominated by his colleague, Rose Pawlin.

Officer Strahan, also known as "Officer Ryan," is an amazing school police officer who has gone above and beyond the call of duty on Inlet Grove High School's campus. Officer Ryan is always arriving early and staying late to assist with on campus activities. When a district employee was recently found unconscious in their car, Officer Ryan was one of the first to respond and perform CPR. He has always been amazing at crowd control on campus and breaking up fights in nonviolent ways. 

Officer Ryan makes everyone on campus feel safer. He is always assisting teachers and students with safety trainings, advising them on how to handle Code Red situations, and even helping them with a code word to make sure that when someone announces "Code Red is over," that the code word officially signifies they are in the clear. 

Officer Ryan makes sure that every student on campus is protected. He steps in when he feels like a student might be in physical or emotional trouble. He has developed a great rapport with the students and staff. When other officers come on campus, students and staff can be found asking "Where's Officer Ryan today?" because they all miss him when he’s not around.  

Officer Ryan has a record of saving lives on other campuses, as well. He is always following the law and is always making sure students follow the student code of conduct. He is very professional and handles sensitive information very carefully. Officer Ryan keeps all student-related matters confidential, and he is always smiling when you see him on campus. 

"We couldn't have asked for a better school police officer on campus," said Strahan.
