LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Leroy "Lee" Smith was nominated by his spouse, Gina Smith.

Mr. Smith is a LifeChanger! As a former curriculum resource teacher, fifth grade teacher, and current Dean of Students, he has helped shape so many lives. He has aspirations of becoming a principal and is currently completing an online Master's degree program while working full time, part-time at night and coaching six sports for his K- 8 school! He has a special bond with the staff and students in his school. His players and parents love him, and he has transformed all of the sports programs that he has developed. All of his teams attended or won a county championship last year. He coaches boys and girls middle school golf, elementary golf, boys and girls basketball, and boys and girls flag football. His interest in the students has helped him develop special bonds with them so they can work together in school. He is the bullying specialist and positive behavior team leader, as well as a district point of contact. When a parent, student, teacher or administrator has a problem, they know that Mr. Smith will listen, empathize and help them come to a positive resolution. He's truly the definition of a LifeChanger!
