Sherla Ashby was nominated by her colleague, Heather Hughes.

Ms. Ashby is a dedicated educator. She works hard at building positive relationships with students. This year, she has made a commitment to eat lunch with students and get to know them better. With colleagues, she is not only a team player, but a team builder. She mentors new teachers and builds lasting rapport with veteran teachers.

"Ms. Ashby is a vital player on our 7th grade team. We couldn’t be this awesome without her," said Hughes.

Ms. Ashby is not only a great math teacher, but one of the best colleges. She was one huge contributor to a fabulous school year. She's a top-notch educator, and has become a lifelong friend

Ms. Ashby is such a dedicated educator. She is constantly working to lift her students' confidence and understanding. She is often one of the last teachers to leave the building, and she strives to find the best way to help all of her kiddos. She is a great inspiration!!
