Monica Guillory was nominated by her former employee, Alana Trammell.

"I had the pleasure of working for Monica Guillory when I interviewed for a science position at Lockhart High School in Lockhart, TX," said Trammell. "She is not only an amazing leader, but an amazing mother to eight wonderful kids. Actually, she has more kids than that, because every student she has come into contact with is her child."

Ms. Guillory is always working to do what is best for all of "her kids." She is up at 4:00 AM and works straight up until 10:00 PM on most days to make sure her students have everything they need. When she is at home, she is dedicated to being the best wife and mom she can be.

"I feel that Monica not only changes the lives of her students, but her staff," said Trammell. "Many of the staff who work for her now come from previous districts she has worked in, whether they were her students or her previous staff. This speaks volumes to the type of person she is. She has a heart of gold, has integrity, and is a very hard worker."
